The Valley Camp Ministry exists to proclaim the gospel, encourage students to pursue God, prepare them for growth and promote unity by providing a safe haven to pause and reflect on the sovereignty of God, to pray through scripture and to pursue personal and spiritual relationships.
If you were like us (part time student ministry workers with very little camp ministry experience) you also would have thought that such a suggestion would be dumb. But something about it seemed so right – like it made more sense than anything else in the world. After some prayer, research, and discussion, it became abundantly clear that this idea was not just possible, but it was also clear where the idea came from. Only God could’ve given it to us, and only He could’ve carried us this far.
What was crazier than the initial idea was the response we received. Each friend, loved one, and ministry partner we told met us with more excitement, encouragement, and support than we could’ve ever expected. Each prayer was met quicker and fuller than we even asked. God has continued to bless us, provide for us, and direct us as we move closer towards His will.
